Terms of use

1. Operator and scope

These terms apply to Julpik, provided by IBRDOS Co., Ltd. ((주)아이비알도스, the “Company”). Contact dev@ibrdos.com for service or terms inquiries. Information handling is described in the Privacy Policy.

2. Features

Julpik converts one selected photo to a JPEG within a target file-size limit. Choose 500KB, 1MB or a custom target, check the actual result size, compare it with the original, and save or share it. The app includes a sample photo and Korean and English interfaces.

There are no accounts, paid subscriptions or in-app purchases. Separate charges imposed by your carrier, device provider or app marketplace remain subject to their terms.

The Company grants a non-exclusive right to use the app for its ordinary purpose. This does not transfer ownership of the app or its branding or trademarks. Open-source components remain subject to their licenses. Rights under mandatory law and required marketplace terms are preserved.

3. Conversion results and size limits

Targets range from 100KB to 20MB. The app uses 1KB = 1,000 bytes and 1MB = 1,000,000 bytes. It checks that the actual JPEG file size does not exceed your selected limit. If an image cannot be processed or a result cannot be produced, the app reports an error instead of offering an unverified file as a completed result.

JPEG conversion and size adjustments may affect quality, colors and pixel dimensions. HDR, Live Photo motion and transparency are not preserved. Even when an original is already below your target, the app creates a new JPEG, so the result may be larger than the original. Meeting the target limit and producing a smaller file than the original are separate conditions.

The app does not overwrite or delete the original. You can check text, faces and detail using the comparison view and saved file. Julpik does not certify acceptance by a particular organization or website, identity-photo specifications, minimum resolution or document readability. A recipient may set requirements for format, pixel dimensions or content in addition to file size.

4. Saving and sharing

Working files are held in temporary storage and cleaned up when you select another photo or return home. On Android, a sharing copy may remain until the next app start for the receiving app to read it. Previous cache files are cleaned up on restart. Save or share a result you want to keep. Saving to Photos adds a new copy to the library. The Company does not keep or recover server copies of your photos.

Manage copies saved to Photos, Files or external services at those locations. An app or service chosen for sharing may recompress a file or change its format, which may change the final file size. Operating-system backups, cloud synchronization and sharing services remain subject to their providers’ terms.

5. Appropriate use and photo rights

Use photos you have the right to process, save and share. Using the app does not transfer copyright or other rights in your photos to the Company. Do not use the app to violate laws or others’ rights, compromise service security or artificially manipulate ad impressions or clicks. This clause does not restrict activities protected by applicable law.

6. Advertising and external services

Julpik includes Google AdMob banners below the result screen. Viewing or clicking an ad is not required to use the core features. Advertised products and services are supplied by the relevant advertiser, whose terms apply to transactions. Displaying an ad does not mean the Company sells or endorses the product.

7. Service changes and responsibility

The Company may update or change the app for improvements, security, operating-system changes or reasonable operational reasons. Material changes affecting use will be communicated in the app or on an information page.

The Company bears responsibility under applicable law. These terms do not exclude liability for the Company’s intentional misconduct or gross negligence, or rights that cannot legally be excluded.

8. Changes and disputes

Changes to these terms and their effective date will be communicated in the app or on an information page. A separate consent process applies where required by law. Send service inquiries or disputes to dev@ibrdos.com. Applicable law and jurisdiction follow mandatory law and the rules of the competent courts.
